Air Charter, On-Demand Delivery, Hazardous Cargo, Executive Air Service

Company History

Air Transit Solutions, based in Castroville, Texas near the city of San Antono, is owned and operated by Gary Ritchey and David G. Embry. With approximately 15,000 flight hours between them, they are not new to the world of aviation. Both are experienced in the area of flight operations and business management. Mr. Embry brings to the team previous air carrier ownership and management experience, preparing this company for targeted expansion.

“We are excited about what we have to offer in this marketplace. Air Transit Solutions knows this market and is in a position to bring quality service, and that is what we do best.” Mr. Ritchey, president and CEO of the company, said.

Research conducted by ATS shows that there is a growing demand for customized air taxi service on a regional basis, said Mr. Embry, vice president of Air Transit Solutions. “Our research indicates most freight companies operate large transport category airplanes. Air Transit Solutions specializes in smaller aircraft and shorter routes, allowing personalized delivery to more locations,” he said.

Through their years of aviation experience, ATS officials have learned the importance of high standards in air operations. “There seems to be a culture of disregard for procedural and regulatory discipline in much of aviation today,” says Mr. Ritchey. “We believe in starting small and planning for manageable growth so that we can maintain the highest standard of safety and compliance.” Air Transit Solutions started operations in Texas in 2001 after receiving its operating certificate from the FAA. “Having a specialized customer base will allow us to offer tailored service with excellence,” said Mr. Embry.

Our Mission Statement and Core Values

The mission of ATS is simple. We intend to become the preferred carrier in our region for same-day air cargo service. We intend to accomplish our mission through four core values.
